Want to Know Your Cancer Risk? OLOL Genetic Services Can Help

Genetic testing can provide a sense of relief from uncertainty and help you make informed decisions about managing your healthcare. For example, in some cases a negative result can eliminate the need for unnecessary checkups and screening tests. A positive result can direct a person toward available prevention, monitoring and treatment options. Duane W. Superneau, MD, has joined Our Lady of the Lake Genetic Services.

Dr. Superneau is Board Certified in pediatrics and in clinical genetics and is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and completed a fellowship in medical genetics at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine Department of Medical Genetics in Mobile. His career in medical genetics spans thirty years.

Dr. Superneau is interested in all aspects of genetic disease, particularly those relating to birth defects and cancer genetics as well as providing genetic counseling to patients and families. Dr. Superneau is currently accepting new patients.  Call (225) 765-8988 to make an appointment.  Our Lady of the Lake Genetic Services is located at 8415 Goodwood Blvd., Suite 202 in Baton Rouge.
